I received an e-ARC of this book in return for an honest review, which doesn’t affect my opinions at all!

From just reading the synopsis I knew I had to read this book, I was captivated and left wanting to know more just from reading the synopsis, and the book definitely didn’t disappoint!

I loved the originality of the storyline, a story from the perspective of the Grim Reapers daughter… What’s not to love?!I loved how the storyline progressed and how the layers of the story were revealed the deeper you read into the novel. The writing kept me hooked chapter by chapter and I felt myself never wanting to stop reading.

The story had its share of strong female characters which I absolutely loved. Both Blake and Shelby (the quirky best friend) knew what they wanted, and dealt with everything they went through in a realistic and optimistic mind set. I loved the friendship between Shelby and Blake and how they were even stronger when they were together. Shelby was probably my favourite character, she was optimistic and supportive and frequently dyed her hair different colours, from black to bright orange, she was so different and so loveable!

Death was a huge theme in the book (as expected). I thought Randall portrayed death in a very realistic way, especially through Blake. I loved how raw and real her emotions were when she had to deal with death of someone close to her or even of someone she had never met before.

The overall story was executed in a faultless way! The ending tied up all the loose ends and I can’t wait for the second instalment! I’m giving The Reaper’s Daughter a well-deserved 5/5! I would just like to thank Erin and KM Randall for allowing me to read a copy!
